Environmental NGOs welcome the Working Document from the European Commission on local space heaters. In summary, we propose the following improvements: moving directly to more advanced tiers for energy efficiency and air emission limits, introducing air pollution labelling, changing the proposed energy efficiency labelling scale as well as reducing the biomass conversion coefficient to 1.15. We also strongly support the proposed labelling of all products in the scope, including electric heating.
