Energy efficiency rules to halve heating bills — start tomorrow

Home heating bills will be cut in half thanks to EU energy efficiency standards starting tomorrow. Minimum standards will promote modern boilers that run on half the energy of those typically found in European homes today. Water heaters and storage tanks are also covered.
