NGOs call on the Regulatory Scrutiny Board to support Ecodesign and Energy Labelling regulations in their on-going assessment of the policy.
This new package of measures will help save up to 165 TWh per year by 2030, which corresponds to over 5% of the overall EU electricity consumption, representing a key contribution to our 2030 climate and energy goals. In addition to these tremendous energy savings, the package will entail key requirements to facilitate repair and recycling of products, further empowering consumers, in line with the Circular Economy and Consumers protection agendas.
