The complementarity of EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) with EU product policies, specifically on the ambition of raising the energy efficiency thresholds for space heating by 115% by the end of this decade, is of utmost importance to ensure a fair and appropriate energy transition for all EU households.
Clear, unambiguous, and ambitious definitions for all fossil fuels-related provisions is needed under the EU’s EPBD. We give guidance on how to achieve this in our position paper.
