The Ecodesign and Energy Labelling rules for local space heaters cover one of the most diverse product group. Setting these rules was a very long process, and resulted in major exemptions which we regret: electric heaters, the least efficient domestic heating products, are exempted from the label, as are outdoor heaters, mushrooming on terraces across Europe.
Less than a year after entering into force, the regulation is being revised, giving a golden opportunity for these issues to be solved. The Coolproducts campaign represented by ECOS and Inforse is already involved in the process, which should last until the end of the year. Contact us if you would like to find out more.
