Five reasons only a total overhaul of the EU energy label will do

Three quarters of Germans think an A+ washing machine is efficient, according to fresh research from consumer association VZBV. In fact it’s the least efficient on the market. Yes, Europe’s energy label is in trouble and a rollcall of big names are backing a speedy revision of the Energy Labelling Directive to straighten things out, among them Mr Sefcovic; Canete; a parade of MEPs; and all energy ministers on Monday, perhaps inspired by Mr Gabriel, who was busy demanding revision last week.
